TERMS & CONDITIONS PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS
1. HELIBRAVO III – TURISMO, LDA., owner of the “PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS” brand and hereinafter referred to as such, is a subsidiary of HELIBRAVO-AVIAÇÃO, LDA., belonging to the SODARCA Group. HELIBRAVO IV – TURISMO, LDA., owner of the “PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS” brand and hereinafter referred to as such, is a subsidiary of HELIBRAVO-AVIAÇÃO, LDA., belonging to the SODARCA Group.
2. The headquarters of HELIBRAVO III – TURISMO, LDA. is located at the Cascais Municipal Aerodrome, Hangar 8, 2785-632 S. Domingos de Rana, with operations at the João Maria Bravo heliport, located in Algés. PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS is located at Alameda Basílio Teles, Massarelos 4150-127 Porto, operating from the Massarelos heliport in Porto.
3. HELIBRAVO-AVIAÇÃO, LDA. holds an Air Operator Certificate for commercial passenger transport operations, issued by ANAC under No. PT-01/94/68. All flights operated by PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS are operated by HELIBRAVO-AVIAÇÃO, LDA. and by pilots authorized by it.
4. Passengers aged 18 or older, upon boarding the helicopter, agree to our Terms and Conditions available at www.portugalhelicopters.com/ and at our facilities located at the Algés heliport and the Massarelos heliport.
5. Passengers under 18 years of age are prohibited from boarding unless accompanied by their legal guardian or an adult, provided that, in the latter case, a completed and signed liability waiver (provided by Portugal Helicopters) is presented.
6. All passengers, whether 18 years of age or older, must carry valid photo identification.
7. The flight times of the advertised routes are approximate and may vary depending on weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances.
8. PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS and the air transport operator reserve the right to alter, cancel, delay or reschedule any flight/experience due to temporary flight restrictions, adverse weather conditions, operational and/or technical difficulties.
9. Flights/experiences may require a minimum number of passengers to operate.
10. Prior to boarding, all passengers are required to attend a briefing on flight safety conditions.
11. The weight limit per passenger is 125 kg with a maximum total permitted weight of 235 kg per Robinson R44 helicopter, with a limit of 3 people. Other weight and capacity limits may apply to other types of helicopters. PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS reserves the right to weigh passengers for flight capacity verification purposes.
If 1 or 2 passengers reach the maximum permitted weight limit, PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS reserves the right to operate the flight under one of the following conditions:
1. The passenger(s) provide 1 or 2 passengers of compatible weight;
2. The total price of the flight (total for three passengers) is fully borne by the passenger(s);
3. The passenger(s) agree to fly with two other passengers provided by PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS;
4. The passenger(s) agree to reduce the flight time by 1/3.
12. Children may not fly on an adult’s lap. All children must be at least 2 years old and tall enough to sit in their own seat, secured with a standard seatbelt for flying. Children under 2 years old are not allowed to fly.
13. Children aged 2 to 11 years old (inclusive) must travel accompanied by a responsible adult, who must be seated in the adjacent seat. The same provisions apply to passengers with special needs, who are also required to have an accompanying adult seated next to them throughout the flight. Two children (aged 2 to 11 years old) or passengers with special needs are not allowed to travel together.
14. Passengers under the influence of alcohol and/or psychotropic substances are not allowed to fly and are not permitted to remain on the helipad premises.
15. PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS and its collaborators reserve the right to deem any passenger unfit to fly.
16. Smoking is prohibited inside the helipad facilities and inside the helicopter.
17. Prices, availability, experiences and tourist routes are subject to change without notice.
18. On the date and time of the flight/experience, all necessary information for the flight/experience will be confirmed by PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS staff.
PAYMENT METHODS, CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING POLICY
19. The authorized payment methods are: cash, bank transfer, MB Way or credit/debit card. Payments must be made before the flight.
20. Flights and experiences can be rescheduled free of charge, provided the rescheduling is done up to 48 hours before the scheduled flight and/or experience time.
21. Failure to appear for a scheduled flight and/or experience without at least 48 hours’ prior notice will result in the cancellation of the reservation, with no refund due, and the flight and/or experience will not be performed later.
22. Rescheduling is not possible within 24 hours prior to the scheduled flight or experience time.
23. Flights and/or experiences rescheduled between 48 and 24 hours before the scheduled time are subject to a rescheduling fee of €25.00 per person.
24. Rescheduling is subject to the availability of PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS operations.
25. PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS reserves the right to reschedule or cancel any flight without prior notice if passengers do not arrive at PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS facilities at least 15 minutes before the scheduled flight and/or experience time.
26. The flight/experience/services purchased are non-refundable under any circumstances.
LIABILITY
27. PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS cannot be held responsible for any items lost and/or stolen on its premises.
28. Flights and/or experiences may include some risk elements. PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS assumes no responsibility for any damage occurring on its premises.
29. If the helicopter is equipped with pop-out floats, please do not step on the skid, as this may damage the floats.
30. Passengers will be responsible for all damage caused to PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS equipment and facilities, provided their conduct was negligent, reckless, or intentional. Liability for damages extends to equipment belonging to third parties, such as aircraft and other items.
31. Upon boarding, the passenger agrees to comply with all rules and warnings contained in the Terms & Conditions, and to follow any and all instructions given by PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS employees.
32. Upon boarding, passengers declare that they are not aware of any physical, medical, and/or physical/mental limitations or disabilities that limit or prevent them from carrying out the contracted flight and/or experience safely and without endangering the health of others.
33. PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS and the passenger air transport operator promote sanitary prevention measures in accordance with the requirements of the DGS (Directorate-General of Health), these being the necessary and sufficient measures for the service they provide.
SAFETY
34. Passengers are not permitted to carry bulky items on board the helicopter. PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS reserves the right to decide, at its sole discretion, which items are accepted and allowed on board the helicopter. It is the passengers’ responsibility to leave items in a safe place, and PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS assumes no responsibility for loss, damage, theft, robbery, or destruction thereof.
35. Passengers may not carry any type of weapon, including firearms, knives, tools, sporting goods, or sharp objects that may cause bodily harm. Compressed gases, flammable and explosive materials, magnets, poison, acid, radioactive material, and drugs are prohibited inside the aircraft and facilities.
36. Passengers must follow all recommendations of PORTUGAL HELICOPTERS and its personnel.
37. Smoking on board the helicopter is not permitted and is punishable by law.
38. Passengers must refrain from using flash photography. Ensure your device’s flash is set to “off”.
39. Passengers are responsible for the objects they carry and must protect them.
40. Passengers may not interfere with the pilot’s flight duties.
41. Passengers may not loosen their seatbelts during flight or open the helicopter door unless necessary in an emergency, or when requested by the pilot or crew.
42.The vouchers are valid for 180 days (6 months), except in specific cases where a different validity period is indicated at the time of purchase.
43.The expiration date refers to the last date on which it is possible to take a flight using the voucher.
